Nursery progress

We hope to have the finishing touches on baby girl's room done this weekend - we only have caulking and painting left - so I wanted to post some good "before" pictures to compare against the final product.

This is what the room looked like when we bought the house.  We later added better shelves but it was just our master closet.

Then the fun really began...

The first step was supposed to be just swapping out the carpet for Pergo but when Evan pulled back the baseboard, the wall came with it revealing some amazing pink wallpaper on top of yucky old non-insulated wallboard.  So, that one exterior wall was completely gutted to put in insulation and brand new dry wall.

Cutest little baby face

I guess this is as good a first post as we can ever get.  Ultrasound pictures are always hard to read but this one is a fairly clear view of her face.  You can even see her hand on the bottom right.  Both times we have gone she has had her hands curled up near her face.

Today was our 24 week doctor appointment and the ultrasound tech was nice enough to sneak us in for a freebie peak to double check the gender of our little one.  She said that she never tells anyone she is 100% sure of gender (even with boys) but she upped her percentage to 95% sure that we are having a girl.  Last time she said she was sure enough to buy clothes and today she said it would even be safe to take off the tags.

She was moving around a lot and we got a few nice views of her hands and arms waving around all the way zoomed in to her fingers and thumb.  We could also see her mouth opening and closing.  It really was amazing.

Now, we REALLY need to get working on a name!
