Just for fun

I had to post this one! My belly has really grown in the last few weeks. It is almost like there is someone in there or something. And, yes, we are probably going to be the dorkiest parents ever! :)

I have really been bad about updating the page so here is a post to catch up and check in.
The biggest news is that we have ONE WEEK until the due date. I visited the doctor today and he seemed to think I am right on track to deliver within a few days of the due date and he predicted specifically sometime the end of next week. We are both very healthy and have been scoring solidly in the normal range for weight, blood pressure and heart rate and all that stuff.
After ALL this time, it seems unreal that it could be any day now and the doctor thinks it could be about a week away! Just can not wait to meet this little girl!
I also wanted to add some pics here for the amazing baby shower that was thrown for us at Evan's work a few weeks back. Thanks to everyone that helped plan it and gave us such great gifts. It was a great time!
Here is a shot at some of the food and yes, that is queso from Moe's brought in special for Evan.
And here is us standing by the other half of the spread - there was so much to eat!
The cake was my favorite - cake batter with red velvet from Cold Stone - with Jack and Sally (and baby) on top of course.
And lastly, here is the mandatory gift opening pic... Christina found us some amazing Zelda (!) onesies and even one with Jack Skellington on it. I can NOT wait to put those on the baby.
Hopefully my parents won't mind these being posted but I was feeling sappy today and happened across these pictures of my first few days in this world. It made me smile to think I am going to be in that same place in just a few short weeks.
It is really great to work with wonderful people AND have a great husband. I thought today was just going to be a standard Thursday but after a very nice lunch with my hubby and then a surprise baby shower at work, today turned out quite amazing.
I had to post a pic of the quilt that Kelly (my boss) made for the baby. It is beautiful AND the solid green patches are really nice and soft. Thanks again Kelly for the shower AND the quilt!
Our nursery is pretty much complete. We finally got our furniture after 7 weeks of waiting AND today we even decorated the walls. Now all we need is that baby!!!
