28 DOWN - 12 TO GO!

Only TWELVE more weeks until baby girl Knightes is scheduled to arrive! I wish I could say that the time is flying by but we are getting there.
Highlights from my 28 week doctor appointment today:
- I only gained 2 pounds in the last month. [Side note: according to our Wii Fit, I actually still weigh less now than I did when we bought the Wii Fit about a year and a half ago. Very proud of that fact!]
- I passed my glucose tolerance test with flying colors so no 3 hour test for me!
- We will be registering to have the baby at Albany Medical Center. My doctor completely won me over with talk of all private rooms.
- No more monthly check ups for us - for the next few weeks we will be going every 2 weeks!
Nothing much else to report on the baby front other than we are both doing very well overall. I am anxious for both the shower in early March and for our crib and dresser to arrive so we can get started on the finishing touches for the nursery.
Comfy chair

Today's big accomplishment was picking up our glider rocker for the baby room and getting it assembled. It looks great in the room AND is very comfortable. Thanks again to Dad and Donna!!!
We got it at Babies R Us and it came in less than one week. We also have ordered our crib and changing table/dresser combo (both in white from Huck Finn) but those will not be in for about 6 more weeks.

Thanks in advance to anyone who checks them out. We have already received some presents and hand me downs and are very appreciative because the process of outfitting a baby is quite overwhelming.
15 weeks to go!

As of tomorrow, I will be 25 weeks pregnant which gives us just 15 weeks to go. I am very glad we are finally done with the major construction phase of the nursery. We had a very productive weekend and finished the final clean up tonight. The best part was actually being able to start putting baby stuff in the room.
NOTE: The funny floating spots are from my dirty camera and not from our paint job.
I am very proud of my hubby and the job he did on the window. The moulding had to be redone from scratch and I think it looks great. The last picture also shows the storage unit we got at IKEA on our way home from Virginia at Christmas. I think it is going to work great in the room.
Our final accomplishment of the weekend was the basinet. It took us almost two and a half hours to put together because (1) we did not have the directions so (2) we had no idea what the thing was supposed to look like. I did eventually find a copy of the directions online but only after we had broken the two hour mark. Thanks to Matt and Melissa for letting us borrow it though because it fits perfectly right next to our bed.
Now we just need to convince Mo and Finn that the bottom is for storage and is not a bottom bunk.
