No news is good news...

Another Tuesday doctor update (again, not very much to report): 

• I only gained one pound since my last appointment two weeks ago.  I am not sure how this is because I really let myself eat whatever I want but I will take the results!
• Baby's heartbeat and my blood pressure were still normal.
• The doctor told me again that the baby is small (I think he means short) which he found very exciting. Hopefully that means an easier delivery.
• The final word from the doctor was that he just wants me to give him two more weeks and then he would be fine to deliver if my body decides it is time.  Once I get to 34 weeks, the baby is pretty much safe to have no complications after she comes out to meet the world!

In other news, my shower last weekend was FANTASTIC and we got SO much great stuff.  We have the majority of it put away (as much as we can without the nursery furniture).  We still have a few big things (breast pump and crib mattress) to pick up but at least the shopping list has been cut down with all of our gifts.  It looks like one more big trip to Babies R Us is in order especially since we realized the other day that we do not have any baby bottles!  

Less than 8 weeks now... can't wait!

Checking in

No update this Tuesday mostly because I did not have much to report.  The number one question from EVERYONE has been to ask how I am feeling and I really am doing well.  I am starting to feel much more uncomfortable and awkward each day but at least it is a slow process and I think I am adjusting fairly well (though Evan may disagree).

We went for an Expectant Parents Tour last night at Albany Med and it did start to make things feel more real.  The facility there is very nice (the rooms were much bigger than I expected) and the people seemed very nice and helpful too.  Now it seems like all I can think about is going back there and having this baby!

And... two more days until the shower!  I am super excited for that though I am expecting to be overloaded and overwhelmed with stuff afterwards.  Unfortunately, we STILL do not have our crib or dresser/changing table so it is going to be tough trying to put things in their final place.  I still am excited though!

Another Tuesday, More Snow

It made me laugh that my post last Tuesday mentioned the snow because last week was NOTHING compared to what is coming down right now.  It is kind of nice being 7 months pregnant though - I don't have to help with the shoveling!

Today I had my 30 week appointment with the doctor.  Only 10 weeks to go!  

Highlights from today:

• I gained just under 2 pounds since my visit 2 weeks ago.
• The nurse said that my blood pressure was great.
• The doctor told me that the baby's heart sounded strong and that she probably weighs about 3 pounds at this point.  He also said she was not a very big kid which sounds good to me since we still need to get her out into the world.  
• He also mentioned that he was very proud of me because my weight gain is totally in the healthy range and I "don't look puffy at all".

So, overall, I was instructed to keep doing what I am doing which means more McFlurries in my future I'm sure! 

Snowy Tuesday Update

No trip to the doctor today but I thought I would post a Tuesday update anyway.  It occurred to me that we had yet to take any pictures of me showing off my growing belly so we took some today and here is a not-too-horrible one.  Enjoy and stay warm and dry!
